I came across another little gem of a book with a quote for every day of the year. It has an imprimatur of 1919. The following is the dedication in the book:
TO OUR DEAR MOTHER
AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS I DEDICATE THIS LITTLE BOOK, BEGGING HER TO GRANT THAT IT MAY HELP SOME POOR SUFFERING HEARTS AND TEACH THEM TO OBTAIN THE FULL MERIT OF THEIR CROSSES BY UNITING THEM LOVINGLY TO THE SACRIFICE OF HER DIVINE SON.
The one below is for January 5th but after this I will share them on their correct day. I just loved this one:
"Do not fear the Cross. . . . Without it you cannot find Christ. With it you will find the help and consolation of His open Heart. Without Christ the cross is hard, dead, crushing wood. With Christ the Cross is strong as God, sweet as love, tender as a tear."
